Greater Heat is the last solar term in summer, and it is usually on around 23rd July. This year it’s on 22nd. Greater Heat is the hottest period in the whole year in China, furthermore during this period, crops also grow rapidly. Because of the frequent meteorological disasters like drought, floods and typhoon, at this time farmers pay more attention to the field management. Timely irrigation will make great difference to the growth of mung bean, kidney bean, soybean etc.

Besides also because of the hot climate, during Greater Heat people always keep their eyes open healthy diet. Green mung bean, wax gourd and bitter gourd are always popular around people.
