Yesterday my colleagues went back to our office from Shandong which is one of the most important origin of peanut in China. They brought many latest news about 2017 peanut planting in China back, and now I’d like to share it with you all.

The growth cycle of peanuts is generally around 110 days, and now peanut in Shandong are flowering. Later around the August 15th of the lunar calendar(this year on Oct 4th) people will harvest peanuts. When the moisture meet the demand of exporting in about November, we can begin to export peanuts.

Moreover this year in Jilin, Liaoning and Henan, the number of planting peanuts increase slightly. Farmers in Henan plant 4981.2 mu peanuts, increasing by more than 40%. From the second half of 2015, the decrease of corn price had a passive impact on farmers planting corn, More and more farmers begin to adjust the planting structure based on the fluctuating marketing environment.
