How to sprout green mung bean, when you come across rotting roots

As a leading exporter for sprouting green mung bean, we had some clients coming across rotting roots during sprouting. Usually it’s due to the bacteria.

Sometimes the storage condition is not very good, sometimes the machine may have some problems, and also sometimes it’s just because of the quality of mung bean. Especially when we harvest during sustained heavy rain, the mung beans may socked in rain, and bacteria may occur. Usually at that time we will recommend our customer to do disinfection before sprouting to escape rotting roots. And if there’re some rotting roots already, some tips below may help.

  1. You could use some noroxin or some other floxacin tablets. 2 tablets in every 5kg water, and soak the mung beans with the water, then sprout;
  2. You could use some chlorine dioxide. 5~8g in every 50kg water, clean the machines and surroundings with the water and also sprout with the water with tablets;
  3. You could also use ozone generator which could help sterilize during sprouting.

Hope it could help. We are here with you. Here is green mung bean leading exporter Taijin Food, feel free to contact with questions you may have about pulses, seeds, kernels and peanuts.
